Amati.linea uses monitor loudspeakers, where everything is made to avoid resonance. Monitor audio provides the ability to hear the fingers of the musician moving along the guitar strings in each part of a recording. Nothing is specially increased here: neither the bass, nor the frequency. There are no attempts to make the sound “good” — the sound is instead honest and crystal, allowing you to hear how the musician’s album was recorded: it can sound great or downright bad. Signal processing technology

In our vision of qualitative sound, we have strived to deliver the digital bitstream without distortion, meaning the source digital signal remains the same until the very end of the track (output to loudspeakers) and is based on directly converting the PCM signal to PWM with fully digital amplifier (EQUlBlT tech).

Advantages of this approach:

- All undesirable changes of the signal’s amplitude-frequency characteristic (its imperfections) can be compensated for by introducing emphasis into the signal flow’s audio channel.

- An open-loop system provides a means to monitor the signal’s state right up to the terminator connection and compensate for undesirable distortion in all circuits of the audio channel, including high-current circuits. Ideal signal-to-noise ratio.

- Power DAC technology replaces traditional complicated signal path that goes through the long component chain with a single solution. So that now it drives speakers directly illuminating signal degrading over time and noise induction.

We obtain one clock speed generator for all circuits, which significantly reduces jitter (distortion) and provides a means to avoid undesirable interference with other clock speed generators (there are simply no others in the design).

Loudspeakers and frame

In working on this project, we directed most of our attention at the loudspeakers, since they have the most effect on the final sound quality. We wanted minimal size speakers that were constructed in such a way as to:

- not cause undesirable resonance and spurious audio generation with items in the room (glass, doors, etc.), which sounds like distortion
- avoid phase distortion, when the sound stops being continuous and disintegrates into high, low and medium frequencies; this is precisely why the loudspeaker’s design is as close as possible to a “point source”
- minimise internal resonance: all the parts of the speaker unit are made of one material, including the phase inverter; the material of the frame and the design were specially selected to provide minimal vibrations and maximum structural rigidity.

The frame itself is designed so that the depth of the frame is greater than its height. This also reduces internal resonance and internal standing waves, particularly at a frequency of 500 Hz. The non-linearity of the amplitude characteristic at this frequency does not exceed ± 1.5 dB, which is more than enough for high-category audio playback quality.
